Free CE’s From the Vision Council!

This was posted by the ladies at The Optical Vision Site whose blog I read daily.  I hope they don’t mind that I am passing this info along to our readers as well.

Alexandria, VA (December 3, 2009) – The Vision Council is pleased to announce a new continuing education portal – available at www.thevisioncouncil.org/ecp/CE – developed for eye care professionals. Combining industry research and data with subject matter experts on a variety of optical topics, the online initiative allows eye care professionals convenient access to accredited courses.

For its launch, the portal will offer three continuing education courses, “A Systems Approach to Prescribing and Selling AR Lenses,” “Increasing Your Rx Capture Rate” and “Lenses and Lifestyles.” Each course is one hour long and is approved for one hour of ABO credit. The quality, product-generic content will be delivered in both text and multi-media formats that are designed for a variety of learning styles and an enriching user experience.

“The Vision Council’s continuing education courses focus on sales, marketing, communication and business building skills for eye care professionals,” said Rene Soltis, The Vision Council director of training and education. “By bringing our programs online, we are able to reach a broader audience and provide resources for eye care professionals that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.”

As a special launch promotion, The Vision Council will be offering free continuing education credits until December 31, 2009. To take advantage of the free continuing education, eye care professionals should use the code “VC-DEC2009”” when registering.
