Amcon marketing looks back on 2010

Leather Frame Tray

2010 is officially over.  Reflecting on the past year, we remember the highs and lows in the marketing department at Amcon.  We thought we would share some of the highlights.

We always enjoy designing new designer contact lens cases, postcards and supply bags.  This year we introduced several new designs and got rid of ones that we felt were getting tired and not selling as well as others.

This summer we introduced several new items for kids including singing puppets to help in pediatric vision examinations.  We didn’t have any fun with these around the office.  Ha. Ha.

Vista-Prep New Bottle Design

In the late fall of 2010 we introduced the black leather frame tray prompted by customer demand for a more formal job tray to present new glasses to patients.  They took off immediately – our stock was drained within a couple of weeks. So we quickly reordered and also introduced another color: merlot.

In the fall we also launched a line of consumer-friendly low vision aids. These, too, were incredibly popular, infusing our low vision aid line with new life.

In November, we introduced four different holiday lens cleaners with modern, stylish designs.  Another hit! Our holiday lens cleaner sold out by mid-December.

Another design project we enjoyed was creating the new Vista-Prep bottle.  Light, clear, green and consumer-friendly, we predict our new Vista-Prep will be a hit.

  2. Our office loves the new Vista Prep bottle design. Because of the new look we are going to start selling this retail to our patients. We would love to include the sample size bottle in our patients contact lens care kit. Will amcon be incorporating the new design in the sample size bottles?

    • Dear Melissa, Thanks so much for the compliment on our new bottle design. I have passed your comment on to our graphic designer who created that design. At the moment, we are not planning on changing the bottle graphics on the sample size Vista-Prep bottle in an effort to keep the cost down.
