St. Louis Pedal the Cause and the Viva Drops Giveaway

Pedal the Cause: Team Nomax

As I sit here writing this blog post, I can overhear several Amcon employees moaning about aches and pains, yet at the same time laughing about what a fun time they had yesterday.  The reason why is that many Amcon employees rode their bikes up to 25 miles yesterday in St. Louis’ Pedal the Cause Event as part of Team Nomax (Amcon’s parent company).

Pedal the Cause is a cycling challenge where participants ride either 15, 25, 50 or 75 miles to raise money for the Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Even though the event only started last year, the organization has raised over 2 million dollars for cancer research in St. Louis. This weekend over 1,300 people participated in the ride, and the total amount raised (so far) is 1.2 million dollars.

In addition to sponsoring a team of riders, our company supplied samples of our beloved Viva Drops to all the riders.  Riding for several hours can be very windy and leave your eyes extremely dry.  Hopefully, our Viva Drops came as a welcome relief to all the riders who participated.
