Your Guide to the New

Old Amcon web site

The old Amcon web site

After several months of hard work and testing, we have launched the new site. While the site may not look that different to many of you, there are a lot of new features that will make it easier for you to use. Here are some of the key differences in the new site versus the old one.

1) No more passcode! To see prices and start shopping, all you have to do is login with your username (or email) and password.  Forgot your password?  Use our forgot your password feature which allows you to reset your password.

2) Quicker approval. Never shopped on  No problem.  Just fill out the registration information page and we’ll get you approved right away!

3) Easier to find products.  Our new site is more search engine friendly. Since we are a B-to-B company we needed a way to prevent regular consumers from shopping on our site. So, on the old site we hid all product information from non-registered users. Now all product information is exposed. Because we now have so much product information parseable by search engines – we should be found more readily by potential customers.

4) Product information easier to see. By now you have probably noticed that on all of the product list pages you can put your mouse over any thumbnail image and get a larger view of the product as well as product details. Pretty fancy….

5) More social. We have stepped into the 20th century and made links to our social media accounts more prominent. Follow us to learn about exclusive specials only available to our social media followers.

6) Customer info readily available. Once you login, you will encounter your “my Amcon” page where you can see: a PDF of the sales flyer, PDFs of the entire catalog, item of the week information, past order history, and a picture and contact info for your current Amcon sales rep. Here you can also update your billing and shipping information.

There are some features that are still under development, for example, we are working on a quick cart feature where you will be able to add items to your cart from your order history.

We would love to hear your feedback and of course let us know if you have any trouble at all using the new site.
