Using your credit card on the Amcon web site

Look for the “Process Payment” on the Order Confirmation page to pay for your order on-line with a credit card.

As you all have probably noticed, we launched a new version of the Amcon web site over the summer. Rolling out new systems always involves a bit of troubleshooting and tweaking to get things running smoothly. Fortunately, based on the orders coming through, the Amcon web site seems to be working well. Nevertheless, we frequently get questions about how to use credit cards to pay on-line.  We thought that our Amcon blog would be a great venue to help clarify how credit card payments work on the Amcon site.

When you place an order on – you will encounter a page where you are asked how you would like to pay for your order.  Usually, you are presented with three options 1) pay via invoice 2) pay with credit card on file or 3) pay on-line with credit card.   In some cases, you may not see the third option (pay on-line via credit card). Here’s why:

  • You have ordered an imprinted item.  We will not run your credit card for items that may not be delivered within two weeks.  It’s against the law – so we can not offer that option.
  • We need to manually calculate your shipping costs, because you either:
    • have requested to ship your order outside the United States.
    • have specified a shipping method other than UPS ground
    • have placed an order that weighs more than 100 lbs
  • You are a student.  We must verify your student status before we can offer you the 10% discount.

Assuming you DO see the option to pay on-line with credit card and you are able to select it, you must look for the “Process Payment” button at the bottom of  the final Order Confirmation page.  When you click on this button, the amount you owe is passed to the final payment page.  All you have to do is enter your credit card information and your payment is submitted securely to our merchant account.  Once the payment is processed, you will receive a copy of the confirmation via email.    We actually never see the credit card number, nor do we store it on our server, so if you would like to pay by credit card again on-line, just follow the same steps.

If you would like for us to retain your credit card information and process the charges manually for all the orders that you place, just give us a call and we will keep your credit card information on file.
